The generated Invoices will be added to the Invoice History list, and displayed in a different colour (red) in the Invoice History list. The colours (red) is not displayed anymore.

Reports Standard

FS#299 - Cart of Accounts

  • Does not list Chart of Accounts according to Description Sequence.
  • Account Group 2 cannot be listed Error - Group not found. (Other sequences works fine).

Batches

Calculator

FS#250 Calculator transfers only to Debit field The Calculator (very handy...) seems to transfer amounts only to the Debit Column, even though the Credit Column is the one selected.

You need to use minus signs (negative) results in the Calculator will transfer a result to the Credit Column of Batches. Positive results will transfer results to the debit column.

Imported transaction batch treats amounts as EXclusive of VAT tax instead of INclusive

FS#260 When I import a transacton batch by means of a Delimited File Import, everything works correctly, except that the amounts are treated as EXclusive of VAT tax. I set up the batch as being INclusive. When I manually input transactions into this same batch it treats the amounts correctly as INclusive. I also ticked the Remember Inclusive block under Advanced Settings (although I don't know what this block is supposed to do)

Payment based tax method does not Implemented

we are using TC4 (4.0.1.12, it was not available in the drop down list) with the australian books. we have set up our company to use the "payments method" (this is the standard in australia for small business).

in testing the posting of sales and purchases it appears that the GST/VAT due account is not being updated at all as per the documentation and in fact the posting appears to conform to the invoice method (ie a sales invoice is posted to the GST output account when only the receipt of the money should be posted).

issue has been raised in the forum, with the comment that philip was going to investigate. have raised the issue here to ensure that it is looked at for the next version.

Trial Balance / Data Integrity Check

This causes to run may trial balances for each of the 12 accounting periods to locate the incorrect period. -

- If you use Reportman Trial Balance you get errors since it does not display the differences as per normal trial balance

Login Username and Passsword

Login Incorrect Username and correct Password Login Username stays the same and just type in the correct password Password – Allows you to open a Set of Books with incorrect Username displaying.

P- I can reproduce the code clearly checks for username and password.

Contacts

Field Length - Contacts

FS#166 - Fixed for Debtors, Creditors and Company Info - works correct - only still outstanding

D - Works on Edit Contacts from the Calendar - but not on the Edit Contacts. 

Contacts Zip / Postal Code expand to 15 characters - only saves 10 Characters Cannot expand the field length – tried the ALTER TABLE CONTACTS ALTER ZIP TYPE Char(15); can enter 15 characters only save 10 characters Sql 0 processed! Still need to be implemented on Contacts.

P -   I have fixed this but it can be that   you use a other way to edit it.  D - No it is in the Edit - Contacts - Main (New) screen - enter   15 - when save it only 10 characters displayed.  P Ok sorry I found that I was doing it from   calendar > contacts there it was working.   Its in the next release
D - From the Edit - Contacts displays 10 Characters but in Calendar Contacts it displays 15 Characters.

Edit Contacts menu

This is out of step with the Calendar - Contacts

Edit Contacts menu does not display the following:

  • First Name - Get a blank record on the list
  • Does not display the full zip code (like in Input->Calendar - Contacts)
  • Creating a Contact in the Edit->Contacts menu causes error when editing the same contact in the Input-Calendar Contacts menu

Standard Reports Preview screen

  • The Default Zoom Preview setting (e.g. 100%) is not retained when Sending Reports to screen. Each time have to set it from 90% to 100%
  • Reports Preview screen (Standard Reports) always on top (foreground) - It's not possible to switch between applications. Unless you drag the window small enought to be able to see the other parts of the screen...
D - I think we had an issue before where it disappeared behind TC before and then the only option was to Stop the TurboCASH application in the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del).  P -Yes i have changed this but its just to make sure its on top. Anything like re-entering parameters or saving file etc will take the stay on top off. then you can switch between programs.

Reportman Trial Balance Budget Figures

In the T-Ledger Analyser and the Standard Trial Balance the Budget figures are displayed for the selected period e.g. March to March - but in the Trial Balance of the Reportman it only displays the full accounting Period (all accounting Periods in the Financial Year).

Print Stock Labels

  • Selling Prices - Inclusive of VAT - (Before we used to get Selling Prices Exclusive of VAT) - Should have the option to print Excluding or Including of VAT
  • Stock Code and Stock Group 1 and Stock Group 2 does not work. Prints blank labels.

Only Stock Descriptions work correctly.

The incorrect Contactperson is listed (never have been linked to the debtor account in the Set of Books) - but it the correct contactperson is listed later after opening and Saving the Debtor account on the printed Statement.

Sales Analysis Reports only Default Stock Type

Sales Analysis Reports only Reports on Default Stock Type This is an old bug in TC3 – and continued in TC4 – The Sales Analysis (Sales by Customer including the other 9 Sales Analysis and the 2 Purchase Analysis Reports) only reports on default stock item type. It does not report on the other Stock Item Types (Sales – No Stock and Purchases No Stock, etc.).

For example If you have an Invoice with default Stock Item type and one with a Stock item type - Sales (No Stock), it will only report on the Default Stock Item. The entries on the Invoice and Credit Notes of the Stock Item (No Stock) will not be included in the Sales Analysis Reports.

Backorder Report

  • Stock Edit screen - Print Single Item option on the Context menu only prints all items.
  • Does not clear the report when the Invoice is reveresed cancelled in the Tools->Global Processes->Reverse Posted Documents. Once a document is Reveresed Cancelled (Unposted) and Posted again it accumulates the Backorder Quantities.
  • Reports->Stock->Backorder does not work. Only prints from the Stock Item sidebar Report button if Backorder is selected (LANG_906050)
  • Processing Invoices - does not launch this screen:

Stock Reorder Report

  • New Page per Item - does not work
  • Show All Items does not retain the settings if selected (or Re-run). It this setting not the same as Show All Stock Items.

Delete Confirmation Required

  • Document Entry screen - Delete icon - delete transaction from the list without any confirmation. We already have something in batches.
  • Edit Accounts - Delete account from the list without any confirmation
  • Setup Groups
  • Setup Salesperson

Delete SQL Errors

  • Groups - Delete a Group (which have transactions, etc.) gives the following SQL error:

Documents

Update button on Documents list

It the Documents Posting option on Setup – Access Control – Documents tab is activated and the Set of Books is reopened, the Update button active for posted documents – launches blank Update Ledger Documents screen

Documents Print Logo

I have made the Documents to replace the Company Address with the logo, if loaded in the Setup->System Parameters->Company Info menu. At the moment we need to clear the logo in the Setup->System Parameters->Company Info menu to prin the address.

We need to add the settings to the Documents to print the logo or not.

P - you must query them - Then u can use them    Select SOptionValue from OPREPORT where OPREPORT.STROPTION = 'BUseCompPicLogo'    You can use this at the print expression to see if you need to print     Its a print condition -     D - I tried but cannot get this going.

Stock Copy from Item

FS#247 Creating new Stock items by copying an existing one isn't filling out the fields you want to have copied. It starts with a virtually fresh window...nothing copied except I think the Groups...

It copy the following fields:

  • Manufacturer
  • Type
  • Unit size
  • Apply Invoice Discount tick
  • Reorder Level
  • Reorder at
  • Minimum
  • Groups
  • Input Output Tax accounts
  • Weight (Net and Gross)

Supplier's Stock Item codes

FS#255 It would be nice to have a field for the Stock Item code that the supplier uses, so it's easier to order straight out of TC4 with a print out and the Supplier has his own code on the order.

To be really fancy, you could have two fields for the (possible) two suppliers and depending on account of the order, the report inserts the correct supplier's stock item code. Preferably both codes (your own and the supplier code) appears on the Purchase/Order documents...

POS Date and Invoice Numbers

When you print a till slip in POS the INV print incorrectly. The previous Invoice no. is printed on Till Slip. Also the date is sometimes printed as 30/12/1899 with no INV or POS no on it. The message at the bottom is also not printed when the date shows 30/12/1899.

POS FEATURE TO CHANGE THE OUTPUT VAT

FS#261 I would like to request the following feature to be added to TC4:

In the POS there should be an option to change the Output VAT from the default as set up on the stock code.

The reason for this request is that in SA, SARS allows certain products like animal feed, seed, fertilizer etc. which is sold to a farmer who is registered as a VAT vendor, to be sold at zero rate.

A business dealing with this, thus sometimes sells these products with VAT and sometimes as zero rated, depending on the status of the client.

TC's POS takes the VAT as set up under the stock code and there is no way to change is other than editing the stock. This can become a real problem. The POS should allow for this as the regular invoicing does.

i think it can take the default tax and sales ledger  set up under debtor this allows tax switching in the pos

  • FIXED - All Barcode Types (i.e. 25-interleaved, 25-industrial, 25-matrix, 39, 39-Extended, 128A, 128B, 128C, 93, 93-Extended, MSI, PostNet, Codabar, EAN8) are working correctly - except the EAN13 Barcode type -

First we get No data to print and after clicking on it the TBarcode: internal Error is displayed.

   -P - EAN13 needs te be a specific format (numbers only) so you cannot   print all bar codes with this is very strict   -D - OK the numbers in the example to print is : 1234567890 and 3456789123  -P - Ean13 needs 13 numbers the last number is a checksum number.  -D - Great - works just need to note it in the Documentation.   

FIXED - Error when posting batch

FS#257 - I get the following error when I attempt to post a batch in the batch input dialog.

Format '%' invalid or incompatible argument

I have been able to import batches in the past. However, now I can't even if I open one of the template books that came with the release.

I have determined that this was a problem with the Swedish language file. During the translation the character '%' got placed in an illegal position, somehow. I have reviewed all occurrences of this character in the language file and made sure they follow the pattern of the English text. I will deliver the updated file, sv-Swedish.dfm, shortly.

FIXED - Bank Recon

FIXED - When clicking on the OK button of this error message the color of the Payments red turns black (font color).

Can we add a block (error message) – when trying to post transactions to a bank account if the Payments and or Receipts Batch is linked to more than one Bank Account.

FIXED - When tick an item in the reconciled column we get this error:

FIXED - Stock Button Lookup

Added images to stock items. On the new extra tab you can select a image for this stock item This will be used for building buttons in the new button view for stock items. If no text is needed (just the image) make sure its width=120 height=40 so it will cover the whole button.

The Stock Items with no transactions can only be removed in the Handytools Plugin - Verijder voorraad niet in documenten button.

To find a Stock Item to delete which cannot be deleted - with transactions I go to the Documents tab of the Stock Item (find the Document number - Edit Documents (unposted) select new item and then repeat the process in Handy Tools plugin to delete tthat Stock Item.
