Converting data from older versions of osF or TurboCash

You can convert your old TurboCash / osFinancials data so that they are suitable for use in a newer version of osF. This usually applies to version 3.x of both TurboCash and osFinancials

Converting from data from old versions versions

Due to major modifications made in osF version 4, it is not possible to put your old database of osF version 3, just in osF version 4. Upgrading OSF version 3 to osF version 4 can sometimes be quite tricky, so you can choose to have your database data checked by us to make it ready for the latest osF version. If you are interested in a conversion of your data, you can contact us trought: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Converting from TurboCash

To convert your TurboCash 3.x administrations you need our conversion tool. You can find the conversion tool in the osFinancials folder.

When the program is started, you can use the button "Find your folder" to designate the installation folder of Turbocash. When you have done this, you can use the button "Scan for books in TC 3" to search the administrations which were in TurboCash. You will now get an overview of the administrations, which you can tick to convert.

PAY ATTENTION!:  Errors can be detected during the conversion. They are not allowed and the result is shown after the conversion.
Eg: It was possible in TurboCash to remove a debtor, creditor or general ledger account while there were bookings. With the removal of the relevant account, these bookings became "floating" bookings. During the conversion, you will receive a warning that these "floating" bookings are present. As a result, you can not continue with the conversion. So keep an eye on the notifications!
After the conversion, there may be a file in the administration folder "sqlconversionerror.txt" which contains details about failed cases.
