No, osFinancials isn`t free. U may USE osFinancials 4 FOR FREE.
Version 4.0.0.969 and higher are Freeware with restrictions.

osFinancials 5 has a subscription cost of 50 euro / 60 dollar per year.

osFinancials en opensource

Since 5 June 2018 is the basis package osFinancials no longer a part of the GNU-licence.

Versions made from this date will no longer be open source.

The term freeware indicates that users may use it freely but can`t change anything.
Open source
Open source means that u can use the source code for free and/or can change it at any given moment.

osFinancials and in-between versions

There are regular pre-releases made of OsFinancials. These pre-releases are for example made when there is further build, improved or extended. These per-releases will not be published immediately, but are for example available for customers with a silver account or a support contract. These customers have the right to download these pre-releases and use them. U may not distribute these versions, since the source code is not yet released by the programmer and because of that not a part of the GNU is.

osFinancials and plugins

This website also sells plug-ins for osfinancials. These plug-ins are meant to extend osfinancials, so the software can connect better with your company of business process. For example a bank import or a cash desk system. These plug-ins aren`t for free. We try to maintain as many affordable modular products as possible.
